Player Biography

Having played for Swansea, Manchester City, and Stoke City over the course of the last five seasons, there are few strikers currently in the Premier League as experienced as Wilfried. Arriving at Swansea after a dynamic rise to success from Ivorian club Issia Wazi, to Czech outfit Sparta Prague and then onto Vitesse in the Eredivisie, Wilfried came with an impressive goalscoring record. Swansea’s investment in the Ivorian proved to pay off, as he scored 35 goals in 70 appearances for the Swans, before being signed by Manchester City, as they aimed to regain Premier League supremacy. Wilfried is a large, powerful striker that easily holds off defenders and dominates in the air, but is equally useful scoring typical striker’s goals. He has regularly featured as a starter for the ever-competitive Ivory Coast side, winning the African Cup of Nations with them in 2015, and being included in the Team of the Tournament.
