Player Biography

Starting his career with Rennes, where he played for four seasons, Mvuemba was loaned out to and subsequently bought by then Premier League side Portsmouth in 2007. After experiencing two seasons of English football, and being part of the Portsmouth side that won the 2007/08 FA Cup. Mvuemba returned to France to play for Lorient, where he recorded 109 appearances in three seasons before moving to Lyon. Here he spent four seasons before returning to Lorient. Mvuemba appeared for the French U21 side between 2005 and 2006, but has also featured in one game for the senior DR Congo side.
