Player Biography
Born in England, Sadlier came through the youth academy at West Ham United where he joined the club at the age of eight. A regular for the U21 side from the age of 17, he was never given an opportunity at first team level. Following his time at West Ham he moved to Scotland when St Mirren of the Scottish Premiership came calling.
Aged 19, he played 11 times for the club scoring one goal in the Scottish Premiership. Following this, Sadlier chose not to extend his contact at St Mirren, preferring a move back south to Peterborough United in League One where he made his club debut against Charlton Athletic in the League Cup. Dave Robertson, the manager that signed him at Peterborough was appointed the manager at Sligo Rovers and Kieran followed him to club.
Sadlier soon became one of the most exciting young talents in the league, establishing himself as a firm fan favourite. His first season at Sligo Sadlier started 23 games scoring 8 goals, in the 2017 season, he scored 7 goals in 19 league games which led to a move to Cork City halfway through the season. Sadlier had an impressive season with Cork, recording numerous goals and assists, catching the eye of League One side Doncaster Rovers. Now with the Rovers, he hopes to continue improving as a player in a new environment.
Sadlier is also an ex Republic of Ireland underage International, representing his country at Under 17, 19 & 21 level. Sadlier is an ambitious young man and aims to break into the senior side in the future.
