Manager Biography

Gary Megson is a former English footballer and current manager, most recently for West Bromwich Albion. As a player, Gary appeared for several different English clubs over the course of his career, including spells at Everton, Newcastle United, and Manchester City. He was perhaps best known, however, for his time at Sheffield Wednesday, in the first spell of which he helped the side return to the First Division for the first time in 14 years.

A manager since 1995, Gary has garnered a wealth of knowledge having taken the helm at nine different sides, notably winning promotion with West Bromwich Albion and taking them to the top flight for the first time in 20 years, stabilising Stoke City during a turbulent period of chaos, taking them from 19th to 2nd in the Championship and achieving the club’s highest ever finish in it’s 130 year history at Stockport County.
